Saengmany Ratsabout

Saengmany Ratsabout came to the University of Minnesota as the community outreach coordinator for the Asian American Studies Program with 8 years of experience working in the non-profit sector in various capacities. He has worked as a coordinator and consultant on community-based projects, research analysis, grant writing, program planning and evaluation, and community assessment.

With research on Southeast Asians in the diaspora, Saengmany brings scholarly expertise and experiences working with the Twin Cities’ Asian American communities. He strongly believes in “collaborative community outreach” and the importance of community-based programming. Using his experiences, Saengmany seeks to connect and bridge the University of Minnesota, its faculty and students, and the community in building a stronger lasting relationship.
